"We're not contesting that there's this overlap between the Provincial Offences Act charge and the criminal charges that are on the indictment. From what I can tell from Mr. Oliveira's evidence, that seems to be what Mr. and Mrs. Justice want from him—that the contents of the Provincial Offences Act charges rely on the same witnesses, it's the same body of evidence, and that's not something the Crown is disputing."
